Hi, I’m Henry. I am a sweet, friendly guy. My first family didn’t really know how to care for me so another family rescued me. I was really happy with them and my best dog friend Rudy. Sadly Rudy went to the Rainbow bridge and I became very anxious. My family tried everything they could do to make me happy but I missed my dog friend so much. They decided the only way I would be happy again is to join a family where I could have dog friends, so I came to BBR. My foster home has several bassets and I love it! In fact my new best friend is foster Herbie. We go for walks every day. If it’s cold I wear my coat and booties. I like my foster family a lot but I wouldn’t mind finding a forever family, as long as they have at least one dog buddy for me and have a person around most of the time. I like human kids too. Sure, I have a little grey on my muzzle but that just makes me look more distinguished. I have plenty of energy to play and go for walks. As you can see I like to ride in the car too.
BBR note: Henry is considered special needs because of his separation anxiety and weak bladder muscles. He is taking a medication called Proin which has helped this condition a lot. Henry has now also been diagnosed with Cushings disease. He has started on medication and is doing well. UPDATE: March 2017,Henry has been diagnosed with kidney failure. He is in the loving care of his devoted foster family.
