Hi, I am Fonzi and I am looking for my final forever home. I am dog/cat selective so a house with a passive calm dog or no animals would be preferred. I would also prefer a house with no children or children who are 10 years of age or older. I need a child that knows when to respect my boundaries and how to properly treat me. I love rolling in dirt after my baths, any kind of food and every treat they offer! And I really love going for long walks. I do need work on leash pulling on walk and a harness is highly suggested. I have been known to jump on guest when excited. I do have a little anxiety due to my current situation.
You might be wondering why I am currently at Westown. I was found as a stray puppy and placed at the Elmbrook Humane Society. The family who adopted me (my previous family) had me for the last 7 years. They were my only home and the only thing I have known my entire life. My previous owners provided me with a home and two human siblings. I was best friends with my 9 year old sister and miss her very much. Unfortunately I was not fond of my 3 year old sister. She startled me on 3 separate occasions and as a result, I was frightened and I nipped her in the face. My parents made the decision to surrender me to prevent any future problems.
I have been examined thoroughly by a trainer and tested in a variety of situations and it is their belief that I could be safely placed in a new home. I am currently up to date on my vaccines and have a clean bill of health. I have some allergies that require medical management once in a while, but it is typically not an issue. I am very energetic and playful. I love being outside and hanging with my human friends. Please consider adopting me and being my final forever home.
