Sometimes, a different environment can make a big difference for a dog. Hi, my name is Lily and I am a bit of a work in progress, but my foster family says I am turning out to be a great dog. I love walks, playing with toys, and chasing my kids around! I used to be on medication for anxiety but now the only anxiety I get is when my people leave, so I am looking for a home where someone is frequently home. I really gain confidence when I'm with my pack of furry siblings so I'd also prefer a home with at least one other dog. Cats are fine too, I don't bother them any. Keeping me active and wearing me out has been a big part in improving my mental health.
My family kennels me when I leave since I used to have a lot of accidents in my previous home. But my current doctor figured out I just needed a medication named Proin and now I don't have any accidents! I will need to stay on the medication in my future home. I am learning a few words such as "walk" and "eat". And the sound of the icemaker always brings me running! I enjoy a good ice cube.
I will be getting a dental cleaning in early October, then I will be ready for my new family! If you think your home is right for me, please fill out the application under the ADOPTION heading and a volunteer will reach out to you!
