Hi, I'm Max, and here are some things you should know about me.
Daily Routine: I get up in the morning and need to go out potty right away since I need a little work on that from being in a shelter for a bit. I love to run around and stretch my little legs in the yard. I eat my food fast, then look for kids to play with until they leave for school. Foster mom throws my treat in my crate, I run right in, and wait for her to return. Then I love to play with the other dogs in my house, and with the kids when they return. I love dinner time, and when foster dad gets home, and snuggles on the couch. At night I occasionally sleep in the big bed but more often on a dog bed nearby, or the couch.
What I love to do: I love to snuggle people and play with the young dogs or nap with the old dogs, or play tug-or-war.
Personal goals: I need a bit of work on potty training since I was in a Texas shelter. I'm a little barky when my family leaves or returns, and sometimes when I am excited during play. I can be a bit bossy when playing with big dogs but mostly I just need them to know though I am little, I can still keep up.
Favorite thing to do with my best friend: I adjust pretty well to the temperament and activity level of other dogs, but I love people time just as much.
Kind of family I need: My foster mom thinks I could adjust to a range of family types. I was a little shy at first and really liked the senior dogs, but I have come out of my shell and also like to get rowdy. She thinks I could adapt to my situation fairly well. Other than a little barking I crate pretty easily and she would also recommend this until in 100% on potty training and not chewing anything up.
Biggest fears: I'm a little uncertain of new things but otherwise try to be a brave guy.
Ideal weekend plans: I love keeping busy with my people or dog friends. I run around my fenced yard and that is great exercise. It has been too yucky out for much walking but foster mom thinks I'd be a good little trooper.
