Fostered In Wisconsin
Daily Routine: My mom takes me out on a tie-out every day and makes sure I have plenty of time to do my business. I really like hanging out with my foster mom. I guess you could say I am a mommy's boy. She says I am wonderful and well behaved in the house. We also take walks and I am a good walker but I enjoy being in the lead. I wish I could chase wildlife but mom is having none of that. I am spry for 10, with healthy joints and can do the steps in and out just fine. I won't go down the basement steps, however. Nothing good down there. I am also a good boy at the vet.
What I love to do: Be by my foster mom's side! I am a shy boy but get over it quickly and latch on to my person. I also love to eat, but I am not aggressive with food.
Personal goals for the year: Though I have a strong bladder and no potty issues, I have had a few poop mishaps in the house. Mom says I need to work on signalling that I need to go out so hopefully my future family can help me get the system down. I'm also not the best in the bath. Ok, I really just hate it. Ear cleaning is easy though.
Favorite thing to do with my best friend: I get on fine with the other dog at home but truthfully my BFF is my mom and the less I have to share her attention, the better. I don't need another dog to be happy in my new home. I just want to snuggle and be with my person.
Type of family I want: I would like a family that has lots of attention and time to give. I'd prefer to have as much of that attention to myself as I can but I have tolerated sharing if need be.
Biggest fears in life: I don't like to be left out in the yard alone, and have been known to jump fences because of that. This is why my mom puts me on a tie-out, and though I complained at first, I am getting used to it. I also fuss a bit if mom leaves and only dad is home (does that guy even know what he is doing?), or if everyone leaves, but I do calm down after a few minutes. I'm not really much of a barker and don't really do a basset howl.
Ideal weekend plans: I'd love to go for walkies, get my belly rubbed a whole lot, and just hang with my mom. I also like my kennel door open during the day so I can be in there if I want, its my cozy place.
