Hello, my name is Tiger! I came to Wisconsin from Texas, where I was picked up as a stray along with another dog that was possibly a litter mate. We got along great but I am not so sure about new dogs I meet and need a slow introduction. I am currently living with two dogs and while we are getting along much better, they like to play and bounce all around me and my long back gets tweaked easily. This is why foster mom says I need a quiet home with low energy or no dogs and no young kids that may hurt me accidentally. I am working on getting my potty training buttoned up after spending time out on my own but I am doing pretty well there. My foster mom says I am the cutest and sweetest little thing, and I love her too. I enjoy trailing after her all day, and being held and snuggled too! I very much love people.
If you think we might be a good match, please fill out the application under "Adoption" above.
*Since being in her foster home, Tiger started showing signs of back-end soreness. Initially the doctors thought she had injured herself playing or getting bounced into by another dog, and she was put on anti-inflammatories. Unfortunately, she progressively got worse and ended up in emergency care where doctors feared Tiger had a slipped disc. That was also not the case. Next, a series of tests were run to rule out various diseases and infections, which also came back negative. Tiger has bounced back over the last few weeks, while on rest and medication, and she is slowly weaning off of those. She has a recheck scheduled soon and needs to be healthy for surgery so she can be spayed prior to adoption. Though we hope to have a better understanding of what happened to her, it is possible her condition will remain a mystery. In the meantime, we are holding any applications for her until she is ready to go so we can make the best match when the time comes. Her ideal home will be quiet, without young children or very physical dogs. She would love a person who is retired or works from home as she is a great snuggler and follows her foster mom about all day.
